There were several relevant Fringe meetings at Party conferences. Private Eye picked up on a complaint I made about the Danone funding of a meeting on Early years at the Conservative Conference:
“Danone, the baby food giant which makes Aptamil baby and “growing up” milk, paid for a meeting on early years nutrition and the obesity crisis with public health minister Jane Ellison MP. Danone;s spin doctor was given plenty of space to address the delegates. In a rare show of dissent from the floor, a Director of Baby Milk Action, which campaigns against what it sees as misleading marketing by the baby feeding industry, said it was of grave concern that Danone was funding the meeting. “
