This was one of the items in an ‘Inside Health’ broadcast a few months ago; the only remedy suggested was special formula. I wrote a formal complaint to the relevant BBC Complaints department asking why they had given no information about dealing with this condition for breastfeeding mothers. They replied that there had been insufficient time. They could have dealt with CMPA at length and informed formula feeders about specialist formulae; why didn’t they?
