Francois Perroud defending Nestlé’s free supplies policy. March 1989

BBC report on the re-launch of the Nestlé Boycott – 23rd March 1989

So sad to hear that BBC journalist George Allegiah has died.

In 1989 he stayed on the phone till 2 am getting the evidence (demanded by Nestle and the BBC lawyers) so that this news report could go out on the re-launch of the Nestlé boycott.

The report features Gay Palmer (who is mistakenly Gay Powell), Susan Cuvea from Manila, the Philippines, Prof David Morley and Nestlé’s spokesperson, Francois Perroud claiming that all the free supplies in hospitals are ‘requested’
